Fivetran and dbt Labs complete merger: Data infrastructure for reliable agentic AI

Fivetran and dbt Labs have completed their merger, with George Fraser as CEO and Tristan Handy as president.

They also introduced joint offerings including dbt Core v2.0, dbt State, dbt Wizard, and the open-source Agents Schema standard.

The combined platform brings ingestion, transformation, and governance into one layer for AI data infrastructure.

The goal is to make enterprise AI agents more trustworthy, interoperable, and cost-efficient.
