OpenAI fully rolls out enterprise AI adoption support, establishes "Deployment Company"

OpenAI has set up an independent unit focused on enterprise AI deployment, moving beyond model development into hands-on implementation.

The company acquired UK consultancy Tomoro and added about 150 deployment specialists, including Forward Deployed Engineers.

OpenAI also secured over $4 billion in funding commitments from investors and strategic partners, including TPG, Bain Capital, SoftBank, and Goldman Sachs.

The push is aimed at helping customers embed AI into workflows and systems, intensifying competition with firms like Anthropic in enterprise AI services.
