Samsung Electronics enters the residential boiler market as a disruptor, targeting annual replacement demand of 1 million units

Samsung Electronics has installed its first residential EHS heat pump boiler in a detached house in Jeju, marking its entry into the home boiler replacement market.

The company is now supplying the product to real housing sites after its domestic launch in April, targeting demand for high-efficiency heating and hot water systems.

By expanding HVAC into underfloor heating and hot water, Samsung is poised to compete more directly with established boiler makers such as Kyungdong Navien, Kyung Dong Navien, Gootsuri, and Rinnai.

The move could widen competition in Korea’s heating market, bringing major appliance and air-conditioning companies into a space long dominated by traditional boiler brands.
