I buried 20 problems in a fake P&L to see if Claude for Small Business could find them

Anthropic launched Claude for Small Business with native connectors to tools like Google Sheets, Drive, Gmail, QuickBooks, and HubSpot.

In a test on a fabricated seven-month P&L with 20 hidden issues, Claude found 17 anomalies in under six minutes.

It also turned the analysis into summaries, slides, and email-ready outputs.

The result suggests AI assistants are already strong at spotting accounting red flags and automating reporting for small businesses.

But the missed three subtle issues show human review is still needed for forensic-level financial analysis.
