MindsEye studio staff take legal action, saying management installed ‘invasive’ surveillance software

Build a Rocket Boy staff have begun legal action over allegations that the studio used workplace surveillance software on employees.

The IWGB Game Workers Union says Teramind was installed without clear disclosure or consent and may have collected data from workers at home.

After a grievance backed by 40 employees, the software was reportedly removed, but management has not explained what data was gathered or why it was used.

The dispute raises wider concerns about privacy and employer monitoring in the games industry, adding pressure on the studio after MindsEye’s poor launch and earlier layoffs.
