Meta Had the Worst Possible Response When Its Workers Were Watching Naked Footage of Its Ray-Ban AI Glasses Users

Meta ended its contract with Kenyan data-labeling firm Sama after reports that workers reviewing Ray-Ban AI glasses footage were exposed to highly intimate private videos.

The allegations raised fresh concerns about privacy risks in AI wearables and the unseen labor used to train and improve them.

A worker group said the contract termination may have been retaliation after the complaints became public.

Regulators in the UK and Kenya said they were examining the reported privacy issues.
