Saronic launches Marauder unmanned surface vessel for defense and commercial use

Saronic has launched its first Marauder medium unmanned surface vessel, designed for fully autonomous or remotely supervised operations.

Built for defense and commercial missions, the dual-use ship can exceed 25 knots, travel 5,400 nautical miles, and carry up to 150 metric tons.

The vessel reached on-water trials in less than a year, highlighting how quickly autonomous ship programs are moving from prototype to deployment.

Saronic says its Franklin, Louisiana shipyard could produce up to 20 Marauders a year by the end of 2026.
