Court grants Musk’s bid to add Craig Federighi to Apple/OpenAI lawsuit, spares Cook

A U.S. court expanded discovery in xAI’s antitrust suit against Apple and OpenAI by naming Apple software chief Craig Federighi as a document custodian.

The judge rejected adding Tim Cook and another Apple employee, but allowed limited requests tied to Apple’s Google partnership.

Elon Musk was ordered to produce certain communications, while other xAI document requests were narrowed as overly broad.

The ruling could surface internal evidence about Apple’s AI partnership decisions and App Store competition.
