GMO to Recreate Ekiden Runners' Gait with Humanoid Robots

GMO AI&Robotics Trading launched a demonstration project called 'GMO Internet Group Track Team - GMO Robots'.

The project uses running data from top Japanese track athletes to train humanoid robots.

Experiments aim to reproduce human running via fully autonomous robots, described as a world-first attempt.
