Early tests show minimal performance impact from new budget HUDIMM DDR5 memory

ASRock introduced HUDIMM, a patent-pending DDR5 design that aims to lower memory costs by using fewer integrated circuits and less bandwidth than standard UDIMMs.

Early simulated benchmarks by Bryan B. showed little gaming performance difference between single-stick and dual-stick DDR5 setups in several titles.

Tests covered systems such as AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Core Ultra 7 265K, with games including Cyberpunk 2077, Counter-Strike 2, and Marvel Rivals.

The results are preliminary and HUDIMM is not yet on sale, but the idea could help reduce PC prices if real-world performance holds up.
