Dutch internet exchange sets new record: 15 Tbit/s peak traffic

AMS-IX hit a new all-time peak traffic record of 15 Tbit/s on April 15, 2026.

That is up from 14 Tbit/s in December 2024, showing continued growth in internet traffic demand.

400G ports and total network capacity are also expanding quickly to keep up.

The surge is being driven by streaming, cloud services, and AI-related traffic.
