One in five Mother Fund vehicles is managed by ACs, but they account for just 5.6% of total fund commitments

Although ACs manage about 1 in 5 Mother Fund-backed funds, they account for only 5.6% of total capital raised.

As of May, 238 of 1,267 Mother Fund-backed funds were formed by accelerators, totaling 2.3284 trillion won.

The average AC fund was 9.8 billion won, far smaller than the 37.9 billion won average for non-AC funds.

Of 508 registered accelerators, only 83 have actually secured Mother Fund capital, highlighting a steep entry barrier.

Industry players are calling for dedicated AC funding pools and a separate evaluation system to better support early-stage investing.
