General Motors is adding Gemini to four million cars

GM will roll out Google Gemini to eligible 2022-and-newer Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC vehicles with Google built-in, starting in the U.S. and expanding later to other markets and languages.

The AI assistant will replace Google Assistant and handle tasks like messaging, navigation, and music suggestions through infotainment software updates over the coming months.

GM says the move will bring a more conversational in-car experience to about four million U.S. vehicles, strengthening its vehicle software ecosystem.

The company also said Super Cruise-equipped vehicles have now passed one billion hands-free miles across nearly 750,000 vehicles.
