Image background removal tool "Rembg" that helps make the background of AI-generated images transparent

Open-source background remover Rembg was highlighted as a local, free way to turn AI-generated images into transparent PNGs.

It supports 16+ model options, including u2net, birefnet-general, and isnet-anime, for different image types and quality needs.

Rembg can run via Docker, process entire folders in bulk, be used through an API, and even handle video workflows.

The tool helps fill a key gap in image generation, since Stable Diffusion and FLUX do not natively output transparent backgrounds.
