Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and NVIDIA Will Provide AI Technology to the Pentagon

AWS, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Reflection AI have signed deals to give the Pentagon access to their AI tools on classified military networks for lawful operational use.

The agreements add to similar Pentagon arrangements already made by xAI, OpenAI, and Google.

Anthropic remains the main major U.S. AI company without a Pentagon deal, after disputes with the Defense Department over military and surveillance limits on Claude.

The expansion of commercial AI into defense is fueling concern about surveillance, autonomous weapons, and public backlash.
