US government criticizes Chinese AI "Kimi K3" developer for allegedly distilling Anthropic's "Fable"

A White House tech official accused China’s Moonshot AI of distilling Anthropic’s models to build its Kimi K3 system.

Anthropic separately said Moonshot AI and two other Chinese firms heavily used Claude via fake accounts and commercial proxies.

If true, the case highlights risks of unauthorized AI training, IP leakage, and weak enforcement of access controls.
