Android Auto is working on a useful update for its autoplay behavior

Android Auto can automatically start playing music when you return to your car; that autoplay can already be disabled in Settings.

Google is developing a quicker way to disable autoplay by showing a notification so users don't have to open Settings.

Android Authority found the disable-AutoPlay notification in Android Auto app version 16.6.161344.

The notification appears when a user pauses audio within 10 seconds of autoplay and has paused at least three times; pauses after 10 seconds don't count.

The notification shows a 'Turn off AutoPlay' option with 'Turn off' and 'Keep on' buttons; it's unclear when Google will roll this out.
