You can now protect your ChatGPT account with a special USB key

OpenAI introduced an optional Advanced Account Security mode for ChatGPT accounts.

The feature replaces password-based login with passkeys or physical security keys, shortens sessions, and turns off email and SMS recovery.

It also sends sign-in alerts and keeps enrolled chats out of model training.

OpenAI is partnering with Yubico to offer discounted YubiKey bundles.
