Discord enables end-to-end encrypted voice and video calling for every user

Discord has made end-to-end encrypted voice and video calls the default for all users.

The change requires no opt-in, so private calling is now standard on the platform.

Stage channels are the main exception and are not covered by the same default setup.

The move strengthens Discord’s privacy posture and lowers the risk of call interception.
