One bankruptcy just wiped out a popular Google TV lineup in Europe

StreamView GmbH, the European licensee and distributor of Thomson-branded Google TV devices, has filed for bankruptcy with €36.6 million in debt.

The company lost its sole Chinese supplier and financing partner, cut off its cash flow, and is not pursuing restructuring.

As a result, sales and distribution of Thomson Google TV hardware in Europe are ending.

Thomson brand owner Established Inc. says it is looking for a new European partner and will continue supporting existing devices for now.
