Fiber HDMI cables enable full-bandwidth 8K over runs up to 990 feet

An HDMI active optical cable (AOC) converts electrical HDMI signals to optical ones and back to transmit video over long distances.

Ruipro's AOC is specified to support full 48 Gbps HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, enabling 8K60 or 4K120 without DSC over runs up to 990 feet.

The cable keeps some copper conductors for control and power, has removable metal connectors for easier installation, and costs from about $116 to $506 depending on length.
