Android is getting a big AI overhaul in 2026

Google previewed a major 2026 Android overhaul built around Gemini Intelligence and broader AI-powered automation.

New features include Auto Browse on Android, AI-enhanced Autofill, prompt-based widget creation, and a voice-input upgrade for Gboard.

The update aims to make Android phones more proactive and personalized by handling app tasks, form filling, and interface creation.

Many of the features will roll out only in select apps and will depend on strong performance and reliability.
