Rambus unveils high-speed client memory chipset targeting agentic AI

Rambus has unveiled a DDR5 9600 client memory chipset aimed at AI PCs for desktops and laptops.

The chipset combines CKD02, PMIC5120, and an SPD hub, and targets CUDIMM, CQDIMM, and CSODIMM modules.

The company says the design focuses on higher bandwidth and stronger signal stability for agentic AI workloads.

The move could help raise speed and reliability in PC memory as AI PC performance competition intensifies.
