xAI Releases Beta Version of Its Coding Agent CLI Tool “Grok Build”

xAI has launched the first beta of Grok Build, a command-line AI agent for coding, app building, and workflow automation.

The tool includes plan mode, terminal Q&A, and support for extensions through Skills and MCP servers.

Access is currently limited to SuperGrok Heavy subscribers, who pay $300 per month.

The release adds another agentic coding tool to xAI’s lineup and puts it in competition with CLI assistants like Codex CLI and Claude Code.
