Sneak peek at new Siri app reveals Apple’s plans to take on ChatGPT and more

Bloomberg says Apple is planning a major Siri overhaul ahead of WWDC, with leaked renders showing a new standalone Siri app and a redesigned voice experience.

The update may add Dynamic Island interactions, swipe-down AI search, chat history, and support for document and photo uploads.

Apple is also said to be using Google Gemini technology alongside its own on-device AI models, reflecting a hybrid AI strategy.

If launched, the new Siri could bring chatbot-style features to hundreds of millions of iPhone users while strengthening Apple’s privacy-first positioning.
