Humanoid robot gets curved OLED display head with new tech to increase efficiency

LG Display unveiled its first public 7.2-inch curved P-OLED prototype for humanoid robots at SID Display Week 2026.

The panel uses a flexible plastic substrate and third-generation Tandem OLED tech to wrap around robot surfaces.

It can show basic status information while reducing power use by turning off unused pixels.

LG emphasized durability, brightness, temperature tolerance, and long lifespan for robotics applications.
