Saronic taps Samsung to help revive America’s ailing shipbuilding capability

Saronic and Samsung Heavy Industries announced a partnership to explore building autonomy-capable ships in U.S. shipyards.

The collaboration pairs Saronic’s maritime autonomy technology with Samsung’s shipbuilding and production expertise.

If it succeeds, the effort could help rebuild U.S. shipbuilding capacity, strengthen domestic supply chains, and create jobs.

The companies also aim to speed production of autonomous vessels for defense and commercial markets.
