You Could See a Pickle Emoji on Your Device in 2027

Unicode has proposed nine new emoji for Unicode 18.0, including a pickle, butterfly, lighthouse, meteor, eraser, and net.

The final approval decision is expected in September; if approved, the emoji could reach supported devices in 2027.

That would expand emoji options on iPhone and Android through future software updates.
