Greg Brockman Defends $30B OpenAI Stake: ‘Blood, Sweat, and Tears’

Greg Brockman testified in Elon Musk’s lawsuit against OpenAI, defending his equity stake and the company’s nonprofit mission.

He said his OpenAI stake is worth more than $20 billion, possibly up to $30 billion, and denied that leaders “looted” the nonprofit.

Brockman argued that the executives who stayed did the hard work of building OpenAI after Musk left.

He also said OpenAI may be exploring an IPO, adding another issue to the fight over the company’s future and control.
