Some iPhone Apps Receive Mysterious Update 'From Apple'

Some iPhone apps recently showed App Store update notes saying the update was "from Apple" and included no new features.

The notes appeared across a variety of apps, including Candy Crush Soda Saga, VLC, Mortal Kombat, and others.

A developer on Reddit said Apple-added text matched a prior version's number and content, and MacRumors found no code changes in an examined app.
