Don’t Expect A Super Smash Bros. Movie Any Time Soon, Says Miyamoto

Shigeru Miyamoto said a full Super Smash Bros.-style gathering of all Nintendo characters is not expected now.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie includes cameos from characters like Yoshi, Wart, Rosalina, Fox McCloud and Pikmin.

Illumination pushed for extra cameos but the studio and Miyamoto are planning films scene-by-scene rather than a long-term shared-universe plan.
