Before You Get a New iPhone, Turn Off This Setting on Your Old Device First

Apple advises users to turn off Find My on an old iPhone before upgrading or handing it off.

If Stolen Device Protection is enabled, it must be disabled first before Find My can be turned off.

After that, users should erase the device to protect personal data and avoid Activation Lock issues for the next owner.
