EU plugs in €10 million quantum computer at supercomputing center in Barcelona

Spain installed a €9.8 million quantum computer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.

Built by Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech, it is now the third quantum machine integrated with MareNostrum 5.

The new system expands Europe’s quantum computing and high-performance computing capacity.

The project is backed by the EU and Spain and supports research plus technological sovereignty.
