Android XR adds Auto-spatialization to convert almost all apps to 3D

Google announced Android XR's new features and began rolling them out to Samsung's Galaxy XR headset on the 7th (US time).

Android XR gained an experimental Auto-spatialization feature that can convert most apps, games, websites, images, and videos from 2D to 3D, available in Chrome and YouTube.

Galaxy XR received software updates including virtual keyboard position saving, restoring up to three apps after reboot, monocular tracking, and app wall placement.

Android XR now supports Android Enterprise device management and offers managed Google Play, remote lock, and data wipe features for businesses.

Samsung said it will provide up to five years of software updates and security patches for Galaxy XR.
