DoorDash is building its own drone delivery business

DoorDash has launched DoorDash Air, a new drone delivery business backed by FAA Part 135 certification.

The certification gives DoorDash legal authority to operate a commercial drone delivery service in the U.S.

DoorDash Labs will develop the program, starting with limited pilot flights before any fully autonomous long-range operations.

The effort will complement DoorDash’s existing partnerships with Wing and Flytrex, plus its sidewalk robot program.
