Samsung's not teasing smartglasses, because it's releasing 'intelligent eyewear' later this year

Samsung previewed its first AI eyewear, branding it as “intelligent eyewear” rather than smartglasses.

The glasses come in two frame styles from Warby Parker and Gentle Monster and will include a camera, real-time translation, text summaries, Gemini access, and navigation.

Samsung says there will be no lens display at launch; the product is slated for fall release in select markets.

The launch marks a bigger push into AI wearables and could set up a challenge to Meta’s Ray-Ban smartglasses.
