The alert says 57% of respondents named public transport as the most likely place for screens to be viewed by third parties.

The article recommends changing short PINs to longer numeric codes and switching to biometric unlock to reduce shoulder-surfing risk.

Both Android and iOS allow PINs up to 16 digits, which can make shoulder surfing harder.
