World’s largest LNG-powered ship can haul 24,212 containers in a single trip

CMA CGM unveiled the CMA CGM Notre Dame, the world’s largest LNG-powered container ship.

The 400-meter vessel can carry 24,212 containers and is now operating on the French Asia Line.

The ship is part of CMA CGM’s broader fleet expansion to boost capacity while cutting emissions.

It highlights the growing use of cleaner fuels, digital navigation, and efficiency upgrades in global shipping.
