Nintendo launches smartphone app "Pictonico!" on the 28th, which turns your own face or your friends' faces into a game

Nintendo said its face-photo mini-game app Pictonico! will launch on May 28 for iOS and Android.

The app offers three games for free, with optional paid packs that can expand the total to up to 80 mini-games.

Users can turn photos of themselves, family, or friends into game characters, making it a casual, photo-based experience.

Nintendo says the design is privacy-focused, with used photos not sent to external servers.
