Tencent Open-Sources Hunyuan 3D World Model 2.0 for Interactive Content Creation

Tencent has open-sourced HY-World 2.0, a 3D world model that turns text or images into editable scene assets.

The system combines 3D Gaussian splatting and mesh outputs, and works with tools such as Unity and Unreal Engine.

It also includes modules for panoramic generation, novel view synthesis, and spatial path planning.

The release could lower the barrier to building editable 3D scenes for gaming, virtual production, and simulation.
