Google warns of AI threats in the Mythos era, urging a focus on resilience

Google Cloud warned that AI is speeding up cyberattacks across the full attack lifecycle, from reconnaissance to exploitation and post-breach activity.

The briefing highlighted rising risks from zero-day flaws, voice phishing, and software supply chain attacks, with Japan heavily targeted by both state-backed and financially motivated groups.

Google said Japanese organizations should assume some level of breach and strengthen resilience through incident drills, backups, and business continuity planning.

The company emphasized that faster, AI-enabled attacks make preparedness and recovery just as important as prevention.
