Two semiconductor manufacturers prepare for the revolution already taking shape: quantum chips

Intel and QuTech showed in March 2024 that semiconductor qubits can be manufactured with industrial semiconductor processes.

GlobalFoundries has now joined Quantum Motion to adapt CMOS nodes for this type of quantum chip.

The move brings mass production of qubits closer and makes scalable quantum computers more feasible using existing semiconductor infrastructure.
