Chrome may get faster updates with no restart required

Google is testing new Chrome update methods that may reduce or remove restart prompts, starting on macOS.

In Chrome 150, a macOS-specific flow can finish installing updates when the browser is closed but not fully quit.

Google is also developing dynamic patching to eventually apply some updates without restarting Chrome.

The change could make security updates faster, smoother, and less disruptive for users.
