ASUS Debuts ROG Equalizer 12V-2×6 Cable To Protect GPU Connectors From Melting

ASUS has unveiled the ROG Equalizer, a 12V-2x6 cable aimed at reducing GPU connector overheating and melting risks.

The cable is designed to spread electrical load across the connector pins, helping high-power graphics cards run more safely.

It will ship with select ASUS power supplies, including the ROG Thor III and ROG Strix Platinum, and work with other ATX 3.1 / PCIe 5.1 PSUs.

For buyers of power-hungry GPUs, it offers a practical hardware workaround while the industry looks for a more permanent fix.
