I hate scalpers, and Valve’s Steam Machine queue is exactly what we need

A Steam database change reportedly hints that Valve may use a reservation queue for Steam Machine packages.

The idea is to avoid a repeat of the Steam Controller launch, which sold out quickly and drew scalpers.

A queue-based system could help distribute limited supply more fairly and reduce bot-driven resale.

That would give real buyers a better chance to get Steam Machine at launch.
