Google and Xreal’s Project Aura smart glasses will ship later this year

Google and Xreal said Project Aura smart glasses will launch in 2026 with native Android XR support.

The glasses will support multiple app windows, mixed reality views, full hand gestures, and Gemini-powered features.

They use a 70-degree built-in display and Qualcomm dual-chip hardware, but still need a wired puck for processing.

The reveal underscores Google’s push to bring full Android app support and AI to glasses, while showing current hardware limits.
