Android Auto bug streak continues with missing signal icon

Android Auto users have reported a bug that removes the mobile network signal icon from the status bar.

Reports suggest the issue has appeared for several weeks and may be linked to Android Auto v16.5.

Downgrading to v16.3 restores the icon for some users while clearing app data only gives a temporary fix.

Google is revamping Android Auto icons and is expected to roll out a fix via a server-side push or app update.
