Dell brings back the XPS 13… takes aim at the MacBook Neo with a $599 price tag

Dell unveiled its new XPS 13, set to ship in July, and is targeting the budget-premium laptop segment with a $599 student promo and a $699 starting price.

The ultralight 13.4-inch model weighs about 1 kg and is 12.7 mm thick, with a 2560×1600 touchscreen, 120Hz variable refresh rate, and up to 17 hours of battery life.

Base specs include 8GB of memory and 512GB of storage, and Dell says it is lighter than Apple’s MacBook Neo while offering more expandable higher-end options.

Dell is also reviving the XPS brand and plans to announce more powerful XPS models as it pushes deeper into premium laptops.
