Samsung Wallet finally catches up to Apple and Google with digital passport support

Samsung Wallet now supports a US passport-based digital ID through a partnership with CLEAR.

The new Samsung ID can be used for identity verification at more than 250 TSA checkpoints and at select venues on some domestic trips.

This narrows the feature gap with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet in mobile identity support.

Physical passports are still required for international travel, and travelers may still need to carry them domestically.
