Amazon to Add 3.5% Fuel Surcharge for US and Canada FBA Sellers

Amazon will charge a 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge to sellers using FBA in the US and Canada starting April 17, 2026.

The fee applies to Amazon's shipment charges, not item sale prices, and averages about $0.17 per FBA item.

Amazon cited rising fuel and logistics costs amid Middle East tensions and higher oil prices as the reason.

Other US carriers and USPS have also imposed or planned fuel surcharges.
